Every order is checked in-hand by a verification specialist, so it's important that you understand our new vs used item criteria to avoid issues post sale.
If there is any visible wear on your item it must be listed as 'used'.
Review the following information and provide as much detail as possible in your listing - any issues with the condition of your item that were not described on the listing will delay or cancel your payout.
New Footwear must be authentic, unworn and undamaged with no flaws.
Inspect your sneakers before listing them for sale, if there is any visible wear they must be listed as 'Used' - any issues from the list below would mean your sneakers should be classified as used:
- Used outsole
- Used lining
- Used insole
- Chipped paint
What about the shoebox?
If your shoebox is missing or not in perfect condition, you must select the condition 'Used' - a shoebox is not in perfect condition when:
- It is crushed
- It has tears or cuts
- The lid is missing
- The label is missing or damaged
If there are minor dents or rips on the shoebox, we will consider your Footwear 'New' - however if your shoebox matches any of the above examples, we would consider your Footwear 'Used'.
Additional original accessories
Footwear may have been sold with additional original accessories, such as laces or shoe bags. If your item does not include these original accessories you must select the condition 'Used'. BUMP does not consider any stickers you may have received as original accessories.
A new item of clothing is authentic, unworn and undamaged with the original packaging/tags and accessories.
If your item displays any visible wear or damage you must select the condition 'Used'.
- Generic branded plastic bags and in-store tags are not required for an item to be considered 'New'.
- Items with minor stitching or manufacturing flaws will be accepted as 'New'. However, items with major manufacturing defects must be listed as 'Used' and should be described on your listing.
- BUMP does not consider any stickers you may have received as original accessories.
Accessories are 'New' if they show no visible wear or damage and are still in their original packaging.
Select the condition 'Used' if your accessory displays any defects, discolouration, marks, or scratches.
